How dare you?

How dare you do this to my son?
My beautiful child, generous and kind
Helpful, considerate, a wonderful mind.

How dare you do this to my boy?
You showed him, taught him, the wrong way to be
Selfish and angry, always raging at me.

How dare you do this to my child?
Now he is the one that is angry and mad
Not knowing the fault is all on his dad

How dare you do this to my life?
I thought I'd escaped the anger you hold
The selfish, uncaring heart that grew cold

Instead I see you in my kid's eyes
That cold, hard look that dares to defy
The unbending, unbreaking, unwillingness you had
My precious children all have it, thanks to their dad.
